The best free QR code generators that never expire
Any static QR code never expires, so the real question is which free generators make static codes by default, without a trial that turns them into short links. These five do. Two of them are ours, and we say so.
Checked on 1 November 2026 from each generator's own page. QR Code Spot and QR Never Expires are ours; the others aren't connected with us, and their names are trademarks of their owners.
How we chose
- Free static codes by default, so what you print holds your own link or details.
- The site says plainly that its free codes don't expire.
- Print-quality files (SVG, EPS or PDF) without paying, or a clear note where that's not the case.

QR Code Spot
Our free generator makes link and text codes with no account, and Wi-Fi, contact cards, events, UPI, Pix and more with a free one. It's also one of the few places with free editable codes that don't expire: 3 on the Free plan, with 5 destination changes a month. The honest catch: downloads on Free carry a small QR Code Spot logo under the code. Read our guarantee for what we promise.
QR Never Expires
Our sister site, qrneverexpires.com, makes 14 kinds of static code with no account and no watermark, all in your browser. It also has a checker that reads any code and tells you whether it depends on a service that could switch it off.
QRCode Monkey
A long-standing free designer with logos, colours and vector files. Its FAQ says the codes "do not expire and will work forever" and that free codes can be used commercially. They're static, so they can't be edited; the site points to QR Code Generator PRO for editable ones, which starts with a 14-day trial.
goQR.me
A plain, quick generator. Its page says no registration is needed, commercial and print use is allowed, and SVG and EPS downloads are free. Editable codes are a separate product.
Adobe Express
Handy if you already design in Adobe Express. Its page says its codes never expire; its FAQ says it makes codes for web addresses only, as PNG, JPEG or PDF.
What about free dynamic codes?
Most big QR services offer dynamic codes on a trial or a capped free plan. Their own pages say what happens next, and we've compared three of them: QR Code Generator PRO, QR TIGER and Uniqode. Before you print one, read how to check a free dynamic code.
Questions
Which free QR code generator never expires?
Any generator that makes static codes: the content is inside the code, so nothing can switch it off. The five above make static codes free and say so on their own pages.
Are free QR codes safe to use for a business?
Static ones are. Check the site allows commercial use, download a vector file for printing, and test the printed code with two phones.
Why is QR Code Spot on its own list?
Because it fits the criteria, and we'd rather say so than hide it. We've listed its catch too: a small logo under downloads on the Free plan.
Can I get a free editable code that never expires?
Yes, on QR Code Spot's Free plan: 3 editable codes with no time limit and no scan limit.
Make a code that never expires
Free static codes, no sign-up for links and text, and free editable codes with no time or scan limit.
