How to make one
- Enter your Pix key. Your CPF or CNPJ, the email or phone number (+55…) registered as a key, or a random key from your bank app.
- Add the name and city. As your bank shows them for that key. Accents are left out, and long names are shortened to 25 characters, as the standard requires.
- Add an amount or a reference, if you like. Leave the amount empty to let the payer type it. A reference, like MESA6, appears with the payment in your statement.
- Download and test. Pay R$ 0,01 to yourself from another account before you print a batch.
What's inside the code
The code holds a BR Code, the format Banco Central do Brasil set for Pix: your key, the name and city, the amount if you set one, and a checksum that lets the bank app spot a damaged code. It's made in your browser, so your key isn't sent to us, and QR Code Spot never sees or handles the payment.
Static Pix, not dynamic Pix
This makes a static Pix code: the same code works for every payment, for as long as your key is registered. It's right for a counter, a stall, a donation box or a fixed price.
A dynamic Pix code (Pix Cobrança) is different: your bank or payment provider creates one for each charge, with its own ID, and can confirm the payment automatically. We can't make those; ask your bank or payment provider if you need them.
Check it before printing
- Copy the key from your bank app rather than typing it: a wrong key sends customers to nobody, or to someone else.
- The payer's app shows your name before they confirm. Check it matches what customers expect.
- If you change or delete the key in your bank, make a new code: the old key is inside the old one.
- Keep printed codes where you can see them, so nobody can stick another code over yours.
Pix is a trademark of Banco Central do Brasil. QR Code Spot isn't a Pix participant and isn't connected with Banco Central.
Questions
Is this Pix QR code generator free?
Yes, with a free account and no card. There are no fees from us, and the code doesn't expire.
Which apps can pay with it?
Any Brazilian bank or payment app that pays by Pix: they all read the same BR Code standard.
Can I set a fixed amount?
Yes. Enter it in reais, like 25 or 19,90. The payer sees it filled in and just confirms.
Can I change the amount after printing?
No. A static Pix code holds the amount inside it. For changing prices, leave the amount empty, or make a new code.
Can I use a phone number as the key?
Yes, if it's registered as your Pix key. Enter it with +55 and the area code, like +55 11 91234 5678.
