How to make one
- Enter your WhatsApp number. Include the country code, for example +960 for the Maldives or +91 for India. Spaces and dashes are fine.
- Add a starting message. Optional. Something like "Hi! I'd like to book a table" helps people start the conversation.
- Style it. Pick a preset, add your logo and check the scan test passed.
- Download and share. Print it on menus, receipts, shop windows and business cards, or post the PNG online.
Where to use a WhatsApp QR code
- Restaurant tables and takeaway bags, for orders and bookings.
- Hotel rooms and reception, for guest questions.
- Shop windows and price tags, for "is this available?" messages.
- Business cards and flyers, so people don't have to save your number first.
Works with WhatsApp Business
The code opens a chat with any WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business number. People need WhatsApp installed; if they don't, the link opens a page explaining how to get it.
Questions
Is this WhatsApp QR code free?
Yes. No sign-up, no ads, and it doesn't expire, because the chat link is stored in the code.
Why does the number need the country code?
WhatsApp links only work with the full international number. Leave out the leading zero of a local number.
Can I change the number later?
Not on a static code. If the number might change, make an editable code with a free account and point it at your WhatsApp link.
