How to make one
- Choose the service. PayPal.me, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Cash App or Venmo. For anything else, like a Stripe or Square payment link, choose Another payment link and paste it.
- Enter your username or paste your link. The name in your link, like yourname from paypal.me/yourname, or the whole link copied from the app.
- Add an amount, if the service takes one. PayPal.me, Monzo and Venmo links can carry an amount, and Monzo and Venmo a note. With Revolut, Wise and Cash App, the payer types the amount.
- Download and test. Scan it with your phone and check it opens your own page, before you print it.
What's inside the code
Just the link to your page with that service, like https://paypal.me/yourname/25. It's made in your browser, and QR Code Spot never sees or handles the payment: the payer pays you inside PayPal, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Cash App or Venmo, under their rules and fees.
Payment link or a bank QR code?
A payment link works across borders and with cards, but the payer usually needs that service, and the service may charge fees. Where your country has a national QR payment system, it's often cheaper and more people can pay: UPI in India, Pix in Brazil, SEPA transfers in the euro area, PromptPay in Thailand and VietQR in Vietnam.
Check it before printing
- Open the link on your phone first: one wrong letter in a username sends payers to someone else.
- The payer's app shows your name and photo before they pay. Check they're what customers expect.
- Personal accounts are meant for friends and family on some services. For selling, check the service's rules, or use its business account link.
- Keep printed codes where you can see them, so nobody can stick another code over yours.
PayPal, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Cash App and Venmo are trademarks of their owners. QR Code Spot isn't connected with any of them; the code only holds the link to your page with them.

With PayPal.me, Monzo and Venmo, yes: their links carry an amount. Revolut, Wise and Cash App links open your page and the payer types the amount.
What happens if I change my username?
The old link stops working, and so does the code. Make a new code. For a code you can redirect later, make it Editable instead.
